Clarksburg Deed Records Show Wide Price Gap as Most Sales Go Undisclosed
Twelve deeds were recorded in Clarksburg between July 24 and Aug. 22. Prices ranged from $32,099 to $600,000 among the four transactions that disclosed a sale price, with a median of $101,459; the other eight listed no price. The period's largest sale was 1333 River Rd at $600,000, transferred from John J. and Rosemary Billy to the Federal Housing Commissioner. River Road and Carson Avenue each accounted for four of the 12 recorded transfers. A bank, credit union, lender, or federal housing entity appeared as grantor or grantee in half of the month's recorded deeds.
